This is a serious effort “RB”-series drag race engine.  Edelbrock’s latest Victor heads top off this monster for the airflow needed to feed it.  450cu., 725hp./630ftlbs of torque.  At 11.0 to 1 compression, this engine requires 108oct.+ fuel for proper operation.  More than enough to move most Chrysler products down the quarter mile.  This engine is as big as we go for horsepower on a stock 440 engine block.  Be advised that the main stud girdle and the oiling system can take up some room down around the K-member area.  Please test fit accordingly.

BLOCK:  Cleaned, magnafluxed, and hand inspected 440 “RB”-series block.  Fully machined for your application.  ARP main studs are installed before align-bore.  Billet aluminum rear seal retainer.  Billet steel main stud girdle, with aluminum main caps for maximum shock absorption.  Strengthens the block considerably!

CRANKSHAFT:  Callies/Crower 3.750” stroke, 4340 Cro-moly crankshaft, .125” radius fillets.  American made to the highest standards.

CONNECTING RODS:  Oliver Parabolic I-beam 6.760” connecting rods, .990” pin end diameter.

PISTONS:  Ross, forged 2618 aluminum, flat top pistons, fully coated with thermal barrier and moly coated skirts.  11.0 to 1 compression.  108oct. fuel minimum.

RINGS:  TOTAL SEAL Gapless top, race moly ring sets.

BEARINGS:  Clevite 77 rod and main bearings, fully coated

HEADS:  Edelbrock Victor 75cc closed chamber performer heads.  Pressure checked and reassembled with correct valve springs to match the camshaft.  Fully ported and polished for the application. Fully coated with our in house thermal barrier coatings.

GASKETS: Fel-Pro and Milodon gaskets are used throughout the engine.

VALVETRAIN:  T & D roller rockers are used on top. 1.6 ratio is used, with a .650” offset.

CAMSHAFT:  Comp Cams solid roller race camshaft .738”/.738”

LIFTERS:  Comp Cams solid roller lifters.

PUSHRODS:  Manton/Manley pushrods sized for each engine.

GEAR DRIVE:  Milodon fixed idler, full cover gear drive.

FASTENERS: ARP/Milodon fasteners are used throughout the engine.

OILING SYSTEM:  Milodon single line external oiling system with fixed pick up. Windage tray and S/S braided dipstick are included.

IGNITION:  MSD Pro-billet distributor with billet aluminum hold down, and 8.5mm MSD race wires.

INTAKE MANIFOLD:  Indy inline dual carb tunnel ram intake manifold, with Magnaflow anti-reversion carb spacers.  The manifold is port matched and cleaned up for every engine. 

CARBURETOR:  PC Carbs custom built Holley 650 race 4150 flange carbs with braided fuel line with pressure gauge and Magnaflow regulator.  Includes Enderle carb linkage.

VALVE COVERS:  Sheet metal aluminum valve covers with breather and oil filler installed.   

BALANCER:  ATI Super Damper

WATER PUMP:  Aluminum water pump housing with HV water pump.

FLEXPLATE:  Engine comes with SFI flexplate from B & M

 
 
This engine is designed for the serious drag racer or bracket racer.  “RB”-series blocks are the biggest of the Mopar engine block family.  Why do we use thermal barrier coatings?  The thermal barrier coatings have repeatedly proven themselves by not only making more horsepower through managing the heat, but by saving wear and tear on critical internal parts too.
