430cu. WEDGE DRAG RACE ENGINE
Some parts in picture are optional.

This is a serious effort “B” series drag race engine.  Edelbrock’s latest Victor heads top off this monster, supplying the airflow needed to feed it.  It boasts 430cu., 700hp./590ftlbs of torque.  At 14.0 to 1 compression, this engine requires 100oct.+ fuel for proper operation (please check with your local fuel supplier for availability).  It has more than enough power to move most Chrysler products down the quarter mile.  This engine would be the perfect compliment to a dedicated A-body drag car, or other lightweight vehicle.  Be advised that the main stud girdle and the oiling system can take up some room down around the K-member area.  Please fit accordingly.  You can tell everyone it is a 383!  This is a perfect engine for cubic inch limited drag classes.

BLOCK:  Cleaned, magnafluxed, and hand inspected 383 “B”-series block.  Fully machined for your application.  Billet aluminum rear seal retainer.  Billet steel main stud girdle, with aluminum main caps for maximum shock absorption.  Strengthens the block considerably!

CRANKSHAFT:  3.750” stroke, 4340 Cro-moly crank, .125” radius fillets, mains turned down to fit “B”-series block, x-rayed, and magnafluxed.

CONNECTING RODS:  6.760”, 4340 Cro-moly, H-beam rods with ARP 2000, 7/16” cap screw bolts.

PISTONS:  ROSS Custom made, forged 2618 aluminum, dome top pistons, fully coated with thermal barrier and moly coated skirts.  14.0 to 1 compression.  110oct. fuel minimum.

RINGS:  TOTAL SEAL Gapless top, race moly ring sets.

BEARINGS:  Clevite 77 rod and main bearings, fully coated

HEADS:  Edelbrock Victor 75cc closed chamber performer heads.  Pressure checked and reassembled with correct valve springs with special exhaust port modifications for more mid-range torque.  Fully coated.

GASKETS: Fel-Pro/Milodon gaskets are used throughout the engine.

VALVETRAIN:  T & D aluminum roller rockers are used on top. 1.5 ratio is used, with a .650” offset.

CAMSHAFT:  Comp Cams solid roller race camshaft

LIFTERS:  Comp Cams solid roller lifters.

PUSHRODS:  Manton custom built pushrods sized for each engine.

TIMING CHAIN:  Steel billet double roller timing chain with Torrington bearing and cam button.  Brand new timing chain cover is used!

FASTENERS: ARP fasteners are used throughout the engine.

OILING SYSTEM:  Milodon oil dual line external oiling system with swinging pick up. Windage tray and S/S braided dipstick are included.

IGNITION:  MSD Pro-billet distributor with billet aluminum hold down, and 8.5mm race wires with NGK spark plugs.

INTAKE MANIFOLD:  Edelbrock 383 Victor intake manifold.  The manifold is port matched and cleaned up for every engine.  Includes carb adapter. (This manifold might not fit under the hood of most all Mopars.  Please check your application, a hood scoop may be required.)

CARBURETOR:  Holley 1050 Dominator with braided S/S fuel line and Magnaflow regulator.

VALVE COVERS:  Sheet metal aluminum valve covers with breather and oil filler installed.

BALANCER:  ATI Super Damper

WATER PUMP:  Meziere electric 40gpm water pump. Elephant ear motor mounts come with this engine.  (Fitting these into the engine compartment is required.)

This engine is designed for the serious drag racer or bracket racer.  “B”-series blocks are lighter and smaller than their “RB” counterparts, which makes them easier in some cases to fit into the race car.  We highly recommend the use of Elephant Ear engine mounts, so that is why they come with the engine.  We use roller rockers that have full needle bearing roller trunions on them, not a steel-on-steel setup waiting to gall and cause engine failure.  Why do we use thermal barrier coatings?  The thermal barrier coatings have repeatedly proven themselves by not only making more horsepower through managing the heat, but by saving wear and tear on critical internal parts too.  Finally, we just give you more stuff!  We try to take some of the guesswork out of completing your future engine by working out the total combination for you.  Look over our parts list and compare us to our competitors, the difference is apparent.  We have tried to make this engine extremely reliable and powerful.  Like all our engines, this comes to you run-in, dyno tuned and ready to go.  Just add oil, fuel and water.  Each engine is numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity and dyno sheets.  It comes with free shipping, on an engine cradle and in its own crate.  Price $16,950.00  Please call us or email us today.  “There are no shortcuts”!
