This is our entry-level street engine.  With 528cu. of pure wedge thunder, this engine makes 540hp./640ftlbs of torque.  It is designed to run on 91oct. pump gas and to be driven.  Like all our engines it will be tailored to your particular use.  We highly recommend you upgrade your transmission and exhaust system to take the added power output of this tremendous engine. 

BLOCK:  Mopar Performance/World Products high nickel content iron block, cross-bolted main caps with billet aluminum rear seal retainer.

CRANK:  4340 Cro-moly 4.150” stroke, non-twist forging, induction hardened, .125” radius fillets, etc.

RODS:  4340 Cro-moly H-beam rods, 6.760” .990” pin dia., ARP 7/16” cap screw bolts, heat treated, x-rayed, etc.

PISTONS:  ICON forged aluminum alloy pistons, fully coated with thermal barrier and moly skirt coating.

RINGS:  Total Seal gapless top moly ring sets

BEARINGS:  Clevite 77 Tri-metal bearings coated with moly coating.

HEADS:  Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, 2.14” intake valves, 1.81” exhaust valves, fully coated combustion chambers with thermal barrier coating and race valve job and custom porting for street use.

GASKETS:  A combination of Fel-Pro engine gaskets and SCE “Titan ICS” copper head gaskets.

CAMSHAFT:  Comp Cams custom ground hydraulic roller retrofit camshaft.

LIFTERS:  Comp Cams hydraulic roller retrofit lifters.

VALVETRAIN: Hughes roller rockers with billet aluminum hold-downs. 

PUSHRODS:  Comp Cams custom length Cro-moly pushrods.

TIMING CHAIN:  Billet steel double roller timing chain with Torrington bearing and cam button.  A new timing chain cover is also used.

FASTENERS:  ARP/MILODON fasteners used throughout engine.

OILING SYSTEM:  Milodon oil pan with matching pickup and S/S dipstick

IGNITION SYSTEM:  MSD Pro-billet distributor with billet aluminum hold down, and 8.5mm race wires.

INTAKE MANIFOLD:  Edelbrock Performer RPM dual plane intake manifold.  The manifold is port matched and cleaned up for every engine.  (This manifold will fit under the hood of almost all Mopars.)

CARBURETOR:  950cfm HP Holley with braided S/S fuel line.

VALVE COVERS:  Fabricated sheet metal aluminum valve covers with oil fill and breathers.

BALANCER:  ATI Super Damper

WATER PUMP:  Milodon HV water pump with new aluminum housing and 160deg. thermostat with billet aluminum housing, installed.

 

Why does our entry level/budget engine cost more than everyone else?  Because we do more to it, and put better stuff in it!  For example, we use roller rockers that have full needle bearing roller trunions on them, not a steel-on-steel setup waiting to gall and cause engine failure.  Why do we use thermal barrier coatings?  Because not all gasoline is created equal, nor does everybody drive at the same altitude.  The thermal barrier coatings have repeatedly proven themselves by not only making more horsepower through managing the heat, but by saving wear and tear on critical internal parts too.  Finally, we just give you more stuff!  We try to take some of the guesswork out of completing your future engine by working out the total combination for you.  Look over our parts list and compare us to our competitors, the difference is apparent.  We have tried to make this engine extremely reliable and powerful.  Like all our engines, this comes to you run-in, dyno tuned and ready to go.  Just add oil, fuel and water.  It comes on it’s own engine cradle and in its own crate.  Price $15,650.00  Please call us or email us today.  “There are no shortcuts”!
